Three Knocks That Saved MeRate this encounter: Darlena, Round Rock, Texas, 2004Through the years I've had several paranormal experiences, here's one of them. It was about 9 PM, I was leaving the home of my masseuse. Like always, I called my husband to let him know I was on my way home, after which I hung up. This particular night was really dark, not many stars shone in the sky, and it was hard to see because I was way out in the country (rural area), so there were no outside sources of light and no other cars on the road. At the point where two roads intersected, I pulled up to the red light. I sat there for about two minutes waiting for the light to change, but considered running the light since nobody was coming in any direction and I was in a bit of a hurry because I had to do a load of laundry before going to bed. The light changed from red to green and at that exact instant, something/someone knocked/banged three or four times on the back fender of the passenger side. It wasn't a "knock-knock-knock," but rather, like an angry banging. It scared the crap out of me! Instead of taking off (since the light had changed to green), I remained stopped and was peering around trying to see who hit the back of my car. There was nobody. Very shortly after the three bangs on my car, an 18-wheeler came screaming through the light, horn blaring. Evidently the driver wasn't expecting a traffic signal in the middle of nowhere so he was unable to stop. Strangely enough, I didn't see his headlights approaching either, as I was sitting at the light. The knocks on the side of my car that night literally saved my life. If I would've taken off as soon as the light turned green, I would've been smooshed by the 18-wheeler. I don't know if it was an angel, a ghost, or what, but I was very thankful for its help.
