The Little Girl's ShadowRate this encounter: Brittany, Chattanooga, Tennessee, June 11, 2005 and March 21, 2006I've always been scared to be up late in my house. I've always had this feeling that someone was watching me. I'd get really jumpy when I was in the hallway at night, and I can never go to the bathroom or get water at night. It all started when I was about 12. It was a hot summer night and I was lying in bed awake when all of a sudden I heard a thump in the club house below my bed (I had a loft bed). I just ignored it at first, but then I heard it again. "Hello?" I asked, "is anyone there?" No one answered, and that's what I expected, at first. Then I heard someone running down the hall, like a little kid. Now, I had a little brother, but he was sound asleep when I was awake. Noone in the house was up but me, which really started to give me the creeps. I tried to forget all about what I had heard, but I could never get it out of my mind. Then I saw it. There was a shadow on my wall. My bed faced a wall, so you couldn't see the floor, but you could see shadows. And I saw it -- a shadow of a young girl, with long hair, about to her shoulders. It was the creepiest thing ever! I went to sleep as fast as I could. I thought the encounters were over, but a year later, I had yet another creepy encounter. I was sitting up on the computer, e-mailing one of my friends, when I heard my bed springs move. They only move when someone sits on it, so I turned around, but no one was there. I dismissed it as overactive imagination. So I kept typing away at my computer, and as soon as I pushed the send button, I heard a click, click, click, coming from my bed. I have no clue what it was. I told my mom about all of my encounters, and I expected her to say, "You're just imagining things," but what she said surprised me. "I had encounters when I was your age too," she said while cooking dinner. I was absolutely stunned! She told me that she had told her mom, my nana, and that she said it was a guardian angel. I don't know if I believe her or not, but I do believe that there are spirits, not ghosts. You know, like demons, demon spirits, not ghosts. I'm not sure what I encountered those two nights, but I do know that it seems like I have encounters during the hot weather, does that mean anything?
