A Skeptic Near Pinewoods CemeteryRate this encounter: Kyle S., Troy, New York, March 13, 2008I will be the first to declare myself a skeptic, as a matter of fact, I am a professional magician, specifically mentalism. I am not swayed by what I see, in fact, I make money off of fooling people. I am not a scam artist in any way, and I do not (outside of the stage) claim any paranormal abilities. That said, I do live within five miles of Pinewoods, or Forest Park Cemetery. I have lived in this house close to fourteen years, and I have never seen a thing, felt a thing, or have had any unnatural goings on happen in the time I have lived here. This is a new house (recently built), and we are the first occupants. Me and my friend were at my house studying in the basement. It was about ten at night or so, give or take, and he says, "Dude, there is a black orb floating down the stairs." I look up from my laptop and say, "Stop pounding monsters, man." About three or four minutes later, I stretch out my muscles, and I see something moving in the shadows in my Dad's woodshop. There are two ways in there, and one is blocked off by a stack of wood for the woodstove, which we use to heat our house. The other I was looking through, there are no windows in that room nor access that I could not see. At that instant me and my friend both feel chills, the temperature dropped 10 degrees, give or take, but the woodstove was still going strong. But it gets better... at the very instant the temperature drops, we feel pain, in the exact same place -- right at the kidneys. And our eyes started watering inexplicably. It was like a switch -- it would start and stop. So we were a little freaked out, but I being the braver (and arguably dumber of the two of us) decided to talk to it. I asked a series of questions, like, Who are you? Why are you here? But I asked where is your body, and pointed, and I made a 360-degree turn and stopped when we started feeling pain again. I pointed in the direction Pinewoods is from my house. I have no reason to lie. That is what happened, and I would welcome anything anyone has to say.
