Voices in the HouseRate this encounter: [Name withheld upon request], Ontario, Canada, June 2001About five years ago, I walked into my Dad's house one afternoon, and I was the only one in the house. I came in very quickly as I was in a hurry to get ready to go somewhere, and I heard very clearly two people talking. A man and a woman, I think. At first I kept walking because I thought it was the radio, but then, I realized that the radio was not on, or even plugged in for that matter. As I realized this the noise abruptly stopped. I ran out of the house and got my Dad from outside. We searched the whole house and there was no one there. In the last few years, whenever I vacuum the stairs, which is where I heard the voices, I hear someone say my name very loudly and they sound angry. It sounds like a female voice. My dad never hears this, and vacuuming the stairs now makes me so nervous that he does it for me. I have had strange experiences my whole life. My Mom and both of my grandmothers were very sensitive to supernatural occurrences, and I think I have inherited this from them. I just don’t understand why the voice sounds angry. That house was built by my great grandfather, and the only people who have died there were two of my great great grandfathers. All of the people who have lived there were family members, and I see no reason why any of them would be upset with me for vacuuming the stairs. Could there be someone in my house who didn’t live there?
