Returning GrandfatherRate this encounter: Doug Mills, Brampton, Ontario, Canada, Late 1990, doug.mills2@sympatico.caMy grandfather had passed away in July of 1990 when I was 19 years old. I fell into a deep depression afterwards and was contemplating suicide because I had been so close to him. One night I woke up in the middle of the night and saw a pair of glowing white legs beside the bed (I was laying on my left side). I slowly started to look up and saw that it was my grandfather standing next to my bed. He was looking down at me and smiling. I jumped out of my bed and ran out into the hall where I stayed for a few minutes until I calmed down. I went back into my room and turned on the lights and just sat on the bed for a few minutes. I still don't know for sure if I really saw him or if I was just dreaming about him and was seeing part of my dream when I woke up. Some people I've spoken to about it said that he probably was there to let me know that he was okay because I had taken his death so hard. There are still times now when I feel a presence around me that I believe might be my grandfather.
