Sliding GirlRate this encounter: Liz, Des Moines, Iowa, Summer of 1990 (Email withheld upon request)When my family and I visited a house in Iowa, it was haunted by a little girl who had broken her neck after sliding down the banister. When the guide let us in we were taken to a small room with a few card tables and were given a lecture on the history of the house. Where I sat, I faced the wall where I saw two picture frames, one had the picture of a man, the other of a woman. In the reflection of one photo, I saw the shadow of a girl who was maybe nine or ten. She had on a dress and was standing at the bottom of the staircase. I watched her for awhile. When I turned around, there was no staircase and there was no girl.
