March 10, 2012 Haunted LifeRate this encounter:Dawn -- Madisonville, Tennessee -- October 2009 Three years ago, I was walking to school when I heard this strange noise. At first I thought it was just the wind, but then I heard it again. It was the laughter of a young girl. I hollered at it but got no answer. I was a little freaked out for I had heard many stories about ghosts. My mamaw told me stories about the wampus cat and the headless horsemen. Well, later on I was asleep when I heard the scream. It peirced straight through the darkness and scared me to death! I ran outside to see what it might be but couldn't see anything or anybody. The weather seemed colder than normal, and I felt something breathing on my neck. When I turned around, there was no one there! I ran back inside my house, locked the door, and crawled under the covers. But I couldn't sleep. I keep remembering the scream and the breathing. Several weeks went by when I realized that I was getting visits from my aunt. She drowned when she was 12 years old. In these "visits," she told me that everthing was going to be okay and that come tomorrow, I wasn't supposed to cry. I had no idea what she was talking about. The next day, my uncle died from cancer. To this day, I have no idea what these things were. Ghosts? My own imagination? I now take medicine to keep me from being haunted, but I know that if a real ghost wanted to see me, there is no medicine that would keep them from doing so.
