Screaming for HelpRate this encounter: [Name Withheld Upon Request] - Needles, California - June 1988My encounter happened in Needles, California, in a old duplex apartment that I was renting. My roommate and I had rooms across from each other. My roommate did not have any encounters at this duplex it was only I who had the encounter. It was about the third week that this encounter happened in the middle of the summer. In June of 1988 I started to feel very cold and very uneasy in the middle of the night -- it was between 12 or 2 a.m. I had a very strong feeling of coldness in the bedroom and did not feel like sleeping in the room, so I went to the living room to try and sleep, but my feeling of uneasiness got stronger, and so did the feelings of coldness. I was really tired so I went back to my bedroom to see if I could sleep. My bedroom had an air conditioner, and it was on low, but the feelings of being very cold got much much more intense even with the blankets I had covering me. I closed my eyes and was almost falling asleep when I was awakened by a very strong grip on my ankles that was trying to pull and lift me up and out of the bed. The more I tried to fight it off, the stronger the grip got. This seemed to go on for a long time. I kept trying to fight this thing off but it was just super strong. I started yelling for help to my sister across the hall way, it seemed that I had no voice when I was yelling. I couldn't hear myself yelling or screaming for help! That's a very frightening and helpless feeling to have! I started to say a few prayers and Hail Marys and just as fast as it started it stopped! I asked my sister if she had any weird feelings or encounters, she told me she slept very soundly and was in a very deep sleep and did not hear me yelling for help or screaming.
