The Dark FigureRate this encounter: Crystal, Sydney, Nova Scotia, Canada, June 2005, info@ghostvillage.comMe and my boyfriend are living in an old house that his father owns. It is a pretty big house -- four bedrooms and the only ones living there is me, my boyfriend, and the cat. My boyfriend and I used to have different days off work and I didn't like staying there by myself. Well, one night I was in the house alone and my boyfriend was at work. I usually stay on the couch and watch TV, well I was sitting there and out of the corner of my eye I see a black figure standing in the doorway of the living room. I have never seen anything like this before so I get kind of scared and when I turned my head to get a better look at it, it was gone. I still don't know what it was, I haven't seen it again, and I really don't want to. But then a few nights ago I was hearing noises downstairs like someone took a cup and put it on the table. My boyfriend went downstairs and looked around but nothing was there and the next day he didn't remember going down. And I kept waking up that night full of sweat so I don't know what is going on in our house. Both times these things happened the cat was with me -- I hope nothing else happens.
