Great Grandmother's GhostRate this encounter: Juan P., Mendoza, Argentina, December 1999, info@ghostvillage.comI was about 13 years-old when this happened. I had spent the night over at my grandmother's house and was sleeping in the same room with my 2 smaller cousins (ages 9 and 5). Because I was not used to sleeping with all of the lights off, I had asked my Grandma to leave the hall light on. In the past, a section of the back patio was roofed and turned into a laundry, so my cousins' room had a window that led into this small laundry room. At about 3-4 A.M. that night I felt rather cold (it was summer at that time), and sat up on the bed to pull my blankets up. To my surprise, I noticed the clear image of an old woman looking at me through the window. I can not explain why, but I felt this overwhelming peace and calmness. She had a faint glow around her white hair and had a calm expression on her face. I pulled my blankets up and went back to sleep. The next morning I had a lot of troubles trying to figure out if it had been a dream or if it did really happened. So I told my Grandma all that happened and asked her if she knew this old lady. She told me never to tell anything to my younger cousins and told me the old lady was my Great Grandmother and she died when I was about 3 years old in the same room I had slept the night before. I am still amazed by the fact that I possibly watched a ghost with my own eyes and still I felt extremely calm. I guess she meant me no harm.
