Amy Bruni, one of the stars of the hit SyFy series, Ghost Hunters, announced today that she has launched a new travel and event company, Strange Escapes, LLC, a boutique experience aimed at fans of the paranormal.

Bruni, who recently announced her decision to depart from the Ghost Hunters series after seven seasons, is no stranger to the business of paranormal event management. In 2006, she founded Beyond Reality Events, alongside fellow paranormal notables Jason Hawes, Grant Wilson, and Britt Griffith. Beyond Reality Events went on to become the premiere paranormal event planning business for the duration of its eight-year run.

While there are still a few episodes of Ghost Hunters yet to be aired starring Bruni, she has been working on the Strange Escapes launch since filming on season nine wrapped earlier this year.

“Prior to being on Ghost Hunters, I used to travel the country to visit haunted places on my own. I love the idea of providing weekend events that are filled with educational lectures by day and immersive, live investigations at night. I’m also passionate about a comfortable, lighthearted social atmosphere being a crucial part of the experience. When you come to a Strange Escapes event, we want you to instantly feel like you’re part of our family.” said Bruni.

Strange Escapes already has several events scheduled at various peculiar and haunted locales including: the notorious Stanley Hotel in Estes Park, CO, a haunted winery in Liberty, MO, and the Preston Castle in Ione, CA. A notable list of celebrities and intellectuals from the paranormal world have been booked for these events, including Ghost Hunters’ co-founder and alum, Grant Wilson. Also featured will be World-Renowned Psychic Chip Coffey, and numerous SyFy favorites such as Adam Berry, Dustin Pari, and Ben Hansen.

Events Manager with Strange Escapes, Sarah Coombs, promises this is only the beginning of what is to come. “We’re really focused on creating something truly exceptional to fill a niche for smart, inquisitive people who hunger for an experience that’s just a little… strange. Our goal is to spread this spark of curiosity throughout the country, particularly to people and places that have never before had the opportunity. We’d love to put some lesser-known haunts on the map and to enable more people to attend events that are closer to home. We’d also love to reach those who never even knew such events existed and to witness the horizon of their world expand just a bit.”

  1. I really want to do the Belvoir Winery event! I might have to figure out how to work that into a spring break trip to Lawton, OK.
I’m also hoping that there are some events in Minnesota sometime soon!

  2. I LOVE GHOST STORIES AND HEARING THE HISTORY OF THE GHOSTLY LOCATION. I HAVE TONS OF BOOKS ABOUT THE SUBJECT. I’VE WORKED AND LIVE IN A COUPLE HAUNTED PLACES. I WOULD LOVE TO GO ON A GHOST HUNT WITH THE GHOST HUNTERS OR THE GHOST ADVENTURERS. THERE ARE A FEW PLACES IN SASKATCHEWAN THAT ARE VERY HAUNTED.LOOKING FORWARD FOR YOUR NEW SHOW.
