This electronic voice phenomena (EVP) was recorded at Red Lock in
northeastern Ohio. Though it's debatable as to what the spirit is
saying, it sounds to me like a man with an odd accent saying "For my
kids."
Many workers died of malaria while building the canal at Red Lock.
The complete history of the area is a mystery, but the canal was a very
busy area. There were lots of buildings built along it, and robbers and
murderers tended to hang around it to make a fast buck.
