Bide One’s Time: Whose Scrooge?

When Charles Dickens wrote his immortal A Christmas Carol he had no idea of its potential effect down through the decades, nor could he have guessed its full impact upon society! But in the after life, he probably has had the last laugh, and enjoyed it.

The question of context in Scrooge is of prime importance. This is something each of us must examine and study. Let us take a closer look at those ghosts who visit Scrooge in the course of the novel’s plot. Think about the appearance, approach, and speech of those ghosts who visit Scrooge.
