Ghostvillage.com review

The World of Shamanism is one of most comprehensive and easily readable guides to shamanism to be published in the past several years. Roger Walsh is a scholar who understands what he writes about with insight and intelligence, the reader will find this an exceptionally rewarding reading experience.

The author spends much time in part one defining what, who, where, and when is a shaman, and it is one of the clearest explanations currently available. A discussion of what is the life of shaman is detailed, and there is an analysis of the shaman’s universe.

The shaman’s mind section of the book will make for intriguing reading as will the section explaining the techniques of a shaman at work. There is not one dull section in the book, everything is fast-paced, and the style of writing is concise and entertaining.

This remarkable book is both history and analysis, and it is highly explanatory. The information is up-to-date, and the endnotes are interesting reading in themselves. If you want to know what shamanism is, then this is the book to go to for the answers.

This book is highly recommended reading about shamanism. This book is a winner in every way!
