Jeff Belanger and Ray Auger explore the woods around Camp Ker-Anna in Cumberland, Rhode Island, in search of Fingernail Freddy and Hot Shot Charlie; two reclusive men/monsters who are said to stalk the children of the summer camp should they get out of line. Is there a connection between these legends and the Nightmare on Elm Street movie franchise?

  1. My father was Ranger of Camp Ker-Anna in the late 80s and early 90s. Not only did I attend overnight and day camps there, but I lived there for much my childhood. You told the tale nearly verbatim from what I remember. Hot-Shot Charlie was particularly terrifying to me! I can’t tell you how many times I all-out sprinted home to the Ranger’s Cabin in a certified panic if I ever found myself alone on the property at night. Thanks for the memories!
