When I was a child, I had a Raggedy Andy doll. I hated that doll, I couldn’t sleep if that doll was in my room. I just couldn’t stand it. Not long after my parents gave it to me, odd things started to happen. I had a wicker chair in my room, next to my closet, and I sat Andy in it. The only thing was, while I tried to go to sleep, I couldn’t stand Andy looking at me. So, I turned him around to face the back of the chair. The next morning when I woke up, I turned and looked over at the chair and Andy was facing toward the bed. I thought maybe my mother had come in and had turned it back around. She’s like that, everything has to be perfect. So, I didn’t think anything of it.
That night, before I went to bed, I turned him toward the back of the chair again. The next morning he was again facing my bed. So the next night I turned him toward the back of the chair and the next morning he was staring at me AGAIN! I asked my mother if she was turning him around and I just wasn’t waking when she entered my room? She told me she hadn’t been in my room any of the times Andy moved. That did it, this time I put him in the closet and locked the closet door… the next morning he was back in the chair! WHAT THE HECK! That did it; I wanted nothing more to do with him. I picked him up, walked into the kitchen where my mother was washing dishes, and threw it at her. I told her, “I don’t want HIM anymore!” It was a brand new doll, not an antique. It’s now down in my basement in an old trunk.
I grew up in a very old house in Whitman, MA. It had about 12 rooms and I used to dream that there was another room somewhere in the house but I couldn’t tell where. After I was married, my wife and I lived there for a short time. One night I was telling her about those dreams and she told me that since we moved there she had been having a similar dream but she couldn’t tell where the room was either. After we sold the house the new owners did major renovations and asked us to stop by to see the changes. One of the changes was that behind a small closet they had discovered another room. It was quite small and painted white. We both declined to see the room.
Any way you would be willing to sell him??
