Apparition in My Kitchen

Back when my children were school-aged, I was sitting at the kitchen table reading. My three children had been in bed for awhile when I saw, out of the corner of my eye, a figure walk by the open kitchen door heading toward the back door. There had been no noise since the floor was carpeted. When I didn’t see anyone walking back toward the bedrooms, I got up to see who I had seen. I checked the boys’ room and both were sound asleep. I checked my daughter’s room and she too was sound asleep. I knew nothing about the paranormal at the time but I never forgot the experience. I still wonder who it was walking around my house.
