Spirits to come alive in Western PennsylvaniaWestern Pennsylvania Paranormal Conference Coming May 30thWASHINGTON, PAFrom mythical Thunderbirds flying in the skies to the Lady in White and Weeping Eleanor haunting the Pittsburgh Playhouse, Western Pennsylvania has long been considered one of the most paranormally-charged regions in the country. Now, find out why that is and just how, if possible, it can be proven. On Saturday, May 30, the paranormal world will converge at the Julian Banquet Hall, located at 78 W. Maiden Street in Washington. Renowned ghost hunters, paranormal authors and famed psychic mediums will gather for the Western Pennsylvania Paranormal Conference, produced by APG Conferences LLC. Some of the top names in the paranormal field for the Western Pennsylvania area will be participating. They include Native American author, ghost tour owner and psychic medium Susan Sheppard; ghost excavator, author and cultural anthropologist John Sabol; Sharon Kincaid, founder of the Southern Atlantic Paranormal Group; Shawn Kelly of the Pittsburgh Paranormal Society; Joey Ward, founder of the West Georgia Paranormal Research Society; Rie Sadler, founding member of Eastern Paranormal Research Group; Morgantown-based cryptozoologist and author Kurt McCoy; Jess Kopyta, co-founder of the Atha Paranormal Group and a psychic intuitive; and paranormal investigator Anthony Atha, who is also the conference director and founder of APG Conferences LLC. Also on hand will be vendors selling paranormal books and tools, books authored by the presenters, New Age clothing, jewelry and some unique paranormal poppets. Visions online magazine will be sponsoring giveaways as well. Daytime events will include workshops on ghost hunting with Sabol, Ward, Kelly and Sadler; a look at cryptozoology, or the study of unknown creatures, with McCoy that will include a discussion of the West Virginia Mothman; Sheppard will be on hand to demonstrate spiritual mediumship; and psychic readings will be available every 15 minutes. Once day turns to night, conference attendees will then put all theyve learned to good use with an investigation of a 100-year-old armory, led by Peace of Mind Paranormal Society. Doors open at 9 a.m; psychic readings will begin at 9:30 and workshops will get under way at 10 a.m. Admission is just $45 to the conference ($30 for students) and $20 for the investigation when purchased in advance. All tickets sold at the door will be an additional $10. For more information or to register, visit www.WPPA.eventbrite.com .
