In regard to herbalism and Native American medicine, this paperback book is one of the finest available. It is the type of book to have in your home library and public library for reference.

J. T. Garrett is a Cherokee, and is a student and teacher of American Indian medicine for over thirty-five years. His writing style is concise, readily accessible, and an enjoyment to read. He is the author of many publications over the years.

This book brings together an in-depth collection of the herbal knowledge of the Cherokee, and there is detailed information given on the healing properties and actual medicinal applications of over 450 North American plants. So much is covered, it is a treat to read and review the information.
