Ghostvillage.com review
The revival of contemporary magick came about through the Hermetic Order of the Golden Dawn, and this excellent collection of writings edited by Francis King reveals the importance of the teachings found in the Golden Dawn. A fascinating look at the occult, it is also a remarkable textbook for any person interested in magic.
Among the many figures of the Golden Dawn were found such individuals as Waite, Yeats, Crowley, Mathers, among others. The documents covered in this book were known to the members of the Golden Dawn as Flying Rolls. Among the secrets revealed are the techniques of astral projection, exorcism, alchemy, and clairvoyance.
These Flying Rolls are found in different sections. The sections covered include imagination and will-power, astral projection, Rosicrucian Adeptship, Christian occultism, and Hermetic wisdom and prayer. There are five appendices and an intriguing foreword concerning new Golden Dawn discoveries.
The book will have a wide reading and historical appeal for those interested in the paranormal and the occult. As a guide to some of the writings by the founders of the Golden Dawn, this is highly recommended reading. Franics King has edited a nice reference, and it is something you will find enjoyable to read.
