Donald Tyson, long regarded as a topnotch, gifted writer of the occult, has created another fine book. This book is his Grimoire of the Necronomicon. It is an interesting, educational, and hands-on approach to getting in touch with the Old Ones and draws upon these beings for personal spiritual and material advancement.

The book contains a practical system of ritual magick. This magick is based on the mythology of the Old Ones. For those who have read the late author, H. P. Lovecraft, you will readily recognize these Old Ones who were featured in his writings and fiction.

The reader will find an abundance of ritual forms plus invocations involving the seven major figures of the Old Ones mythology. Among important items found in the book are the Seven-Rayed Star of the Stone Circle, the Lemnicate of Yig, power glyphs, Azathoth, the three ranks, Nyarlathotep, the Order of the Old Ones, Rite of Cthulhu, Way of Dagon, the seals, Seal of Adonaios, among others.

Essentially, this is a form of Chaos Magick. It involves working on the astral planes and contains Enochian vocabulary and terms for ritual usage. Congratulations to Don Tyson on another fine, well-crafted book. It is entertaining and educational, and the illustrations are concise, valuable reference tools, and clearly explained.
