It was Friday night and I had just gone to lay down to try and get some sleep when my husband came into the bedroom and asked if I want to go get some ice cream or a frosty from Wendy's. I had been having trouble sleeping so decided, what the heck, we haven't gone out in a while. I got up and got dressed again and went out to the car. My husband was taking longer than I did to get ready so I went on ahead out to the car. Keep in mind we have to park on the street in front of our apartment. I sat down in the driver's seat and was reaching for the door to close it when I glanced up and saw it. The third tree up from where I was parked had caught my eye. There was definitely something there, but at first I thought my eyes were playing tricks on me. So I waited for my husband to come out of the house, and I asked him, "Honey do you see anything on any of the trees?" He was quiet for a minute and then he got this shocked look on his face and said he did see something. It looked like an old lady's outline on the trunk of the tree. I got out of the car and walked up to the tree to see if maybe a neighbor had a curtain with the outline that I was seeing or if they had a sheet with a picture of a woman on it hanging in one of their windows with light coming through it. No matter where I looked or how I tried to rationalize the image, I couldn't find anything to explain it away. You have to understand it wasn't just an outline of a female body, it was a female body and you could completely see her entire face, her hair, and her clothes. It was the weirdest thing I've ever seen in my life. I still haven't figured out who or what it was but it just stood there watching me and my husband. We finally got freaked out enough to just leave to go get our ice cream. When we came back, it was gone. The only thing I can think is that it was my grandmother who recently passed on coming by to say hello.
