Some years ago I used to holiday in the summer on the Isle of Wight which is about 2 miles off the English coast. I would get up early go down to Sandown beach for an early morning run on this particular morning I was having my usual run when I happened to glance out to sea and to my amazement about two hundred yards off shore was a four masted schooner in full sail I stopped and stared and as I watched it just slowly faded away there was nobody on the beach at that time to see what I had just seen. What convinced me I had seen a ghost ship was the fact that it was in full sail but the sea was calm that day with no wind not even a breeze I still quite often think about it to this day.
