 Dear Ghostvillagers,

I love autumn. Here in New
England, we just went through the peak of the fall foliage
colors. A few weeks ago, one could look across the
hillside and see virtual explosions of reds, yellows,
oranges, and browns, with evergreens and blue lakes and
                      rivers speckled throughout the
landscape. The view, combined with temperatures that
remind me of biting crisp, cool apples, makes me feel
more energetic and in tune with the environment. It's
ironic that nature seems most vibrant and alive when in
fact, it's getting ready for winter slumber.

We all have our favorite colors, and it's no surprise that
different hues can actually affect our moods and
lifestyles. In the metaphysical world, colors also have
significant meaning. Those who can read auras, or the
energy field around all of us, associate colors with
certain traits and moods. Here are a few basics:

Red: Strength, health, vigor, lust, danger, charity
 Orange: Encouragement, adaptability, stimulation,
                      attraction, kindness
 Yellow: Persuasion, charm, confidence, jealousy,
                      joy, comfort
Green: Finance, fertility, luck, energy, charity,
                      growth
 Blue: Tranquility, understanding, patience, health,
                      truth, devotion, sincerity
 Indigo: Changeability, impulsiveness, depression,
                      ambition, dignity
 Violet: Tension, power, sadness, piety,
                      sentimentality

Autumn in New England allows nature to express all of
these moods through the vivid display of colors. Color is
an incredibly important part of all of our lives because it also affects our psyches. There's a reason you
love that blue sweater so much or that red dress. When
walking along the path of life, don't forget to stop and
                      appreciate the colors.

 Supernaturally yours,

   Jeff Belanger
