Tiffany Johnson - Your Psychic Life is Tiffany's monthly column on being psychic.
I get asked all the time about 2012. Or “What are your feelings about 2012?” Or better yet, “Do you have any psychic impressions about 2012?” So, I thought I’d get them all “out there” if you will here, at Ghostvillage. Goodness knows there are a lot of thoughts, opinions, and feelings about what may or may not happen on that fateful day.

First, it’s probably a good idea, for those not familiar, to explain what the 2012 hoopla is all about. Quickly said, the Mayan (or the Mesoamerican Long Count calendar if you want to get fancy) calendar, which covered a 5,125 year cycle is said to end in December of 2012. The exact date is debated. Because of the calendar coming to completion, there is speculation that, when the 2012 dates comes to pass, the world will end. Ultimately, creating a doomsday prophesy. “New Agers” (a term that I’m not super thrilled with, but for now it serves a purpose) propose that there won’t necessarily be an end to humanity, but, rather, a physical/emotional/spiritual shift.

Scientists, astrologers, astronomers, psychics, and historians all tend to have different views and opinions of the topic. Unfortunately, the only thing that they can agree on is that the calendar does end. Some say that it’s just where it ends to pick back up at the beginning, starting the next “cycle” of time. Others believe that the stars themselves correlate to a universal shift. There is a lot to read, watch, and take in on the subject. Even Hollywood is getting onto the 2012 phenomenon releasing a movie in November of this year called 2012.

Here’s where I get really honest with you guys, my Ghostvillage friends… Honestly, I don’t know what will happen. And, to really be truthful, I haven’t done a lot of research on the topic. But, I can tell you what I feel personally and psychically and that’s about as real as it gets….

I don’t feel that 2012 will be the end of the world. I don’t think that there is really anything to worry about or contemplate. What I think it comes down to is this: If I was putting together a calendar, and worked my butt off to go out over 5000 years I would think that enough was enough. But maybe I’m simplifying things too much.

I believe that there will be a transformation. But it will be more of a perception change. I don’t think all humans will suddenly sprout another arm (I’m speaking to the physical adjustment that some speculate.). Nor do I think it will be an overnight, sudden spiritual shift where we will all understand our purpose in the universe. Not that that wouldn’t be great, but I don’t believe it is going to go down that way.

Further, I don’t think that the transformation is instantaneous or automatic. I really believe that we are all working toward that opening right now. And, maybe, when the actual day comes it will be more solidified. But overall, it’s happening in the present and there really is nothing to fear.
