Ghostvillage.com review

Essentially, Diana L. Paxon has written a travel guide for out of the body experiences, and it contains much valuable information. Those interested in trance work, and the techniques of trance, will find this a fascinating reading experience. She successfully covers many traditions from the Tibetan Lamas to the Order of the Golden Dawn.

By learning to navigate the inner world through trance-portation, the individual is given a doorway to a wide range of experiences. Among the well-written topics covered in this book are consciousness, trance, altering consciousness, the techniques of grounding and centering, relaxation, the various modes of perception, breathing, visualizing and vision, memory, articulation, the source and nature of inner guides, the way of the animal powers, journeying to find an animal ally, spirit guides, speaking to the dead, fetches and shape shifters, true names, the Magic Mountain and the World Tree, labyrinths, fellow travelers, destinations, healing, internal exercise, an intriguing section titled “Who Were You When?,” divine relationships, developing the connection, the mystic way and ecstasy, doing and being, among others.

In addition to the book’s introduction and bibliography, there are three appendices. These appendices are well worth reading and cover “Notes for the Guides,” “Guidance Systems,” and “Journeys to Find Allies.”

I recommend this book without hesitation. It is full of useful information on trance and out of the body experiences. You will be surprised at the remarkable information you will discover for your personal use in this memorable book.

Paxson is the author of numerous well-written novels, and is a practicing priestess of the Covenant of the Goddess and the Troth. She lives in California and lectures in North America and Europe. Highly recommended. Excellent reading.
