Ghostvillage.com review

Juan García Atienza is the author of over thirty books examining the enigmas of the Middle Ages. He is considered one of the finest leading Spanish experts on the Templars, and mystery traditions. The Knights Templar in the Golden Age of Spain is a topnotch study of the Templar hidden history on the Iberian Peninsula.

Atienza details his research with accurate information, and it is a Templar book well worth your reading time. The Templars played an immensely important role in the Reconquista that saw the Moors driven out of Spain. The Templar influence was widespread in the kingdoms of Castile, Navarre, and the territories of Aragon and Catalonia. The author makes some sound points concerning the mysterious connections between the Templars and the Cathars. He discusses how the Templar Order was suppressed in Spain only to bounce back and survive in Portugal with a change of name!

The book is divided into three parts. Part 1 is The Opportune Moment, Part 2 is How To Plan A Project, and Part 3 is The Templars’ Legacy. The chapters in each section reflect a designated theme, such as “The Catalan-Aragonese Crown: A Templar Objective.”

Notes, bibliography, and index are included. For an excellent analysis of the Templars in Spain, Juan Garcia Atienza’s account is a masterpiece of well-written research. Entertaining and educational reading make this a standout book!
