Dear Ghostvillagers,
Hey, see any ghosts lately? Man oh man, what a month this has been. I’ve been doing a bunch of traveling. I spoke at a great event at Eastern State Penitentiary in Philadelphia, with Darkness Radio and the Ghost Adventures guys, and then this past week I went to the Stanley Hotel in Estes Park, Colorado with Beyond Reality Events and the folks from Ghost Hunters. What an amazing few weeks it’s been meeting fans of the paranormal and investigating some famous haunts with great people. Thanks to all of you who said hello! (You can see pictures on my
Facebook
page.)
I’m looking forward to getting back to my base camp here at the Ghostvillage.com world headquarters for a little while and legend tripping through some regional oddities. Speaking of that… I have a huge announcement coming in the next Ghostvillage.com newsletter. Next month I’m offering a new direction to the paranormal community. I can’t wait to tell you about it. Sorry to be a tease, but this cake it still baking in the oven -- it will be ready by next month.
This month we’re going to focus on nightmares: those bad dreams that frighten us to the tips of our toes. Why are they so powerful? Because no one knows our fears like our subconscious.
What is a dream? I believe it’s a way for our subconscious to communicate with our higher selves, it’s a way for our brains to process memories, and it’s a prone state where we find ourselves subject to outside influences… maybe even paranormal influences if we’re to believe the many witnesses who have come forward with claims of experiencing Old Hag Syndrome, or an incubus or succubus, or a visitation from beyond the grave. We’ll touch on all of that this month on Ghostvillage.com.

I’m a writer of poetry and novels. To support myself, I work with antiques.
What first got you interested in ghosts and the supernatural?
When I was a child, I started “seeing” things as they looked in the past. I’m still unsure about how this happens or
why or if it even is real. However, those experiences, along with being able to seemingly communicate with and be
contacted by spirits, really got me interested in learning more about why these things happen to people and the
supernatural, in general.
What is the most compelling piece of ghost evidence you have seen?
I think for most people, the most compelling evidence they have seen is what they experience with their
own senses. The same is true for me. To be more specific, I would have to say the experiences I’ve
had with my Uncle’s spirit have been the most heartfelt and eye-opening for me.
What is your favorite summer treat?
Chilled carrot cake.
