Jeff Belanger’s new book covers history, folklore, and true ghost encounters from places of historical significance.

FRANKLIN LAKES, NJ; BELLINGHAM, MA, August 24, 2004 – New Page Books, a leading publisher of New Age titles, and Ghostvillage.com, the Internet’s largest supernatural community, announce the launch of Jeff Belanger’s new book, The World’s Most Haunted Places: From the Secret Files of Ghostvillage.com. The book provides first-hand ghost encounters from scores of witnesses from significant historical locales around the globe.

“Jeff Belanger is a rising star in the paranormal field,” says Ron Fry, President and Founder of New Page Books. “Belanger’s objective and journalistic approach to the subject of ghosts will have even the most diehard skeptics questioning their beliefs.”

The World’s Most Haunted Places is a world tour of historic locations and ghostly experiences. Inside, readers traverse the globe and find some common threads to ghostly legends and some figures from history who have insisted on being remembered to the point where they are still seen and recognized for who they are/were. Witnesses from many different walks of life recount what they felt, heard, saw, and sometimes even smelled. Locations covered include: Muncaster Castle in England, Monte Cristo Homestead in Australia, Ballygally Castle in Ireland, the White House in Washington D.C., the Whaley House in California, Rose Hall Great House in Jamaica, and many others.

“Encountering a ghost or spirit is a profound and life-changing experience,” Jeff Belanger says. “By studying the history and folklore of some of our most treasured historical places, we gain insight into who these ghosts may have been in life, and why they may still be hanging around. It’s important that we listen to the history, the witnesses, and even the ghosts.”
