Ghost Hunting 101 at the Houghton Mansion

Have you ever wondered if you have what it takes to be a Ghost Hunter or Paranormal Investigator? If so, here is your chance. The North Adams Masonic Association along with the New England Ghost Project are holding their second annual “Ghost Hunt” at the” Haunted Houghton Mansion” (otherwise known as the North Adams Masonic Temple), Saturday the 29th of October. 

The Ghost Hunt will start promptly at 6 PM with a presentation by the New England Ghost Project based on there previous findings in the mansion. The NEGP, will also give a brief presentation, “Ghost Hunting 101.” During “Ghost Hunting 101” you will learn some of the modern day techniques that are used in assisting with ghost hunting, you will also be able to see some of the modern pieces of equipment that are used, and what it means when you “capture something.” 

After learning how to find the spirits in “Ghost Hunting 101” you are welcome to tour the mansion and try the techniques you have just learned in a real haunted building. Cameras, video recorders, audio recorders and EMF detectors are encouraged for this portion of the event.
