Ghostvillage.com review

This is a well-written and concise guide to the gods, goddesses, lore, rites, and numerous celebrations found in the old German, Norse, and Anglo-Saxon traditions. As an accurate reference text, it makes a nice handbook to have in the home library.

There are ten chapters. Among the chapters are found such intriguing topics as the evolution of modern heathenry, cosmology, the gods and the goddesses, Wyrd, the soul matrix, heathen ethics and values, the basic Blot, Symbel, personal devotions, Holy Tides, and chapter notes. Glossary, bibliography, suggested readings and index are also in this fine book.

The author is weofodthignen (priest) of Urdabrunnr Kindred, which is found at www.urda.seika.org at New York City. A gifted writer and lecturer, she writes on Pagan and Heathen topics. Her work has appeared in New Witch, Idunna, Sagewoman, among other publications.

For an enjoyable reading experience and learning about the northern traditions, this is a topnotch book. The section on the gods and goddesses sparkles with wit, charm, and detailed facts.
