Legend Trips To Hold Paranormal Event in Pawtucket, RI on April 21st

The creepy giggling of a little girl. The horrible shouts of a young boy in pain. Shadowy figures seen roaming about the grounds.

All in a day's work at Slater Mill.

Built in 1793 and the first successful water-powered, cotton-spinning mill in North America, Slater Mill is considered by many to be the birthplace of American industry.

It’s also one of its most haunted locations.

The Pawtucket, Rhode Island mill has been featured on the Sy Fy Channel's Ghost Hunters, the Travel Channel's Most Terrifying Places in America and has been written about in books such as Andrew Lake's Ghosthunting Southern New England.

Now, Legend Trips is giving people the chance to investigate the claims of paranormal activity for themselves. “Graveyard Shift at Slater Mill” will take place on Saturday, April 21, 2012 from 6 p.m. until 2 a.m. As with all Legend Trips events, the night will feature multimedia presentations, question and answer sessions with special guests, dinner and five hours of investigation of one of Rhode Island’s most historic haunts.

“For years, we’ve been hearing about people’s ghostly experiences at Slater Mill,” said Legend Trips co-founder Tim Weisberg. “But more than just a haunted mill, it’s a great piece of American history. With our Legend Trips, we want you to come for the ghosts, but stay for the history.”

Special guests include Carl and Keith Johnson, the twin demonologists who have been featured on SyFy Channel’s Ghost Hunters, A&E’s Paranormal State, and Animal Planet’s The Haunted. They are also the hosts of Ghosts R NEAR, seen on Cox Cable. The two have been investigating claims of the paranormal for more than 30 years and also serve as interpreters at Slater Mill, running their highly successful ghost tours. They will give a presentation about Slater Mill’s ghostly activity.

Noted paranormal author, researcher and Legend Trips co-founder Jeff Belanger (30 Odd Minutes, Ghost Adventures) will be on-hand to provide one of his lively and entertaining presentations. Lake, of Greenville Paranormal Research, will be there to present with Weisberg on some basics of paranormal investigation.

Psychic medium Pam Patalano and spirit medium Tiffany Rice will also be there, providing readings to those who purchase them in advance as well as offering up their talents during the course of the night’s ghost hunt.

In addition to investigating Slater Mill itself, attendees will also have the chance to check out the Wilkinson Mill (1810) and the Sylvanus Brown House (1758), which are also located on the property.

Tickets for the event are $99 and can be purchased online at LegendTrips.com. There are also special room rates available at the Comfort Inn of Pawtucket for those who purchase tickets to the event; details are on the event page at LegendTrips.com.
