Witness: Phillip De Blieck
Location: Anaheim, California
Date of Encounter: September 18, 2007

My name is Phillip "Buddy" De Blieck. I live in the Silverlake area of Los Angeles. On Tuesday, September 18, 2007, I made a pop over to Disneyland in Anaheim, California. I met up with a friend at about 3:00 in the afternoon and we spent time at the park on the rides and taking pictures of the park using my Sony HDR-UX1 Handycam Camcoder. It has a function where you can switch from video to still photography. At about 4:30 or so my friend and I came upon some attractive yellow flowers on the bank of a small pond which is located just prior to walking into Frontierland from Main Street, U.S.A. I thought that the water might make a nice background for the vibrant yellow flowers, so I stopped, looked for a nice perspective, pulled the flowers and leaves into focus and snapped off a shot. I took a quick glance at the photo from the viewfinder and wasn't particularly impressed with the shot, but I thought I'd wait and see what it looked like once I was able to view it on the computer. Here is the photo, with additional information found below:

This is a completely untouched photo. I have not altered or enhanced this photo in any way, and the original image is still on my digital card. While looking at the photo I saw what looked like a man's face in the water between the blooms. The more I looked at the image, the more it was disturbing because if this was simply a reflection from the opposite side of the pond his head would be much smaller…and more frightening still, it would be upside down! Here is a cropped shot of the same image so that you can get a closer view of the face:
